I MUST HAVE SOME GROWING TO DO!
|| This summary written on 30th November 2023
Forgive me for a moment or two, I’m about to play the old EKW card for this one! You know the one, Experience, Knowledge, Wisdom.
I really don’t get it. What is so hard in those from the spirit world that are spending time working with us, at least telling us a name? Over my years studying this, I’ve heard so many lame reasons for this. The most common given by the spirit world is the somewhat patronising one, “You don’t need to know right now. It’s not important. Focus on the message, not the speaker’s name.”
Give me strength!
I know this is not just something that the spirit people choose to do with me. Throughout time, mediums have had to often settle with not knowing the names of their guides, occasionally unaware of whether they actually have such helpers. Silver Birch, possibly the most well known speaker from the other side, was not actually called that name. That was a name chosen by the sitters. They felt that Silver Birch’s real name was a bit too distracting.
This is one example of issues with guide names. You can read about how the chosen name came about in this article HERE (will open as a pdf originally written by spiritualist historian, Paul Gaunt)
I do know the name of one of my guides, though, even that changed after a few years. So I still can’t be sure that SAKI is really called that. But it serves to satisfy my curiosity for now!
In today’s session with the pen, the speaker chooses this topic and offers a vague reason for the absence of this detail and why we don’t need to know. Personally, I’m no longer hung up on this issue, and haven’t been for a number of years. So I suspect that the message is aimed at one of the readers instead.
Additional Thoughts
During this third Lanzarote sessions, I have been told the name of the speaker on two occasions. The first, I found evidence of his life on earth and included it in the notes. The second, was from a mentor of mine that is now in spirit, Joan Dunbar. You can read these sessions in the archives of this series.
I remain unconvinced by any of the reasons suggested for us as mediums not needing to know the names of our guides. Perhaps this is an area of my development that needs work. The strange thing is though, we are advised to build relationships with our guides. Surely a starting point would be knowing who they are!
