2024 IS YOUR YEAR
This is the first WFSIW for the new year. I’m excited about what possibilities the year ahead will bring my way. Apart from me reaching the official UK retirement age in July and being entitled to a free bus pass and discount on hair cuts, I know other events will come my way to unfold and develop my mediumship to greater depths.
What about you though? What do you foresee on your horizon for this year? Whatever you envision happening this year, stay with me and my spirit helpers and let us move ever forward, ever learning and ever excited - together.
Happy new year!
THE HEALING FORCE OF MUSIC
|| This summary written on 29th December 2023
The person with no music in their life is living with a void in their life. I cannot imagine not having the beautiful sounds, melodies and ambient brought to me every day.
Even as I prepare this presentation, I have a YouTube video playing 24/7 meditation, spa, relaxation, and healing music on an adjacent computer. Does it distract me? No, it enhances my focus and brings peace to this room.
Music is a powerful tool and is often a gateway to another place for our minds. Music can be healing, happy and sad. Thankfully, I was brought up with parents that appreciate all genres of music and that gave me a vast range of likes, and occasional dislikes.
From a very early age, probably early teens, I realised I loved instrumental music more than other types. The haunting sound of Fleetwood Mac’s ‘Albatross’, or the warmth of Barry White’s Love Unlimited Orchestra, or plenty more memories from the past that have stayed with me and play a vital part in my love of music.
I have an old electronic Yamaha keyboard just behind me. I have no musical training, but I love sitting at it and playing impromptu meditation style music with the ‘strings’ voice. I can’t play well, but I love the sounds I create.
More often than not, when I sit in the power, I have selected music playing in my ears or in the room. I can even fall asleep with music playing with high volume through my headphones. I’d even suggest that anyone not listening to music regularly are missing out on another world within this one.
In today’s WFSIW session below, the speaker decides to comment on the music that’s playing in my ears whilst I’m transcribing their words.
Additional Thoughts
We live in a world where so much wonderful music is readily available to us free to listen to on the internet. My favourite source is YouTube, and yes, I use an ad-blocker. Often I will download tracks for offline listening.
My late Mother-In-Law always had a radio on in her home. Smooth FM was her choice of listening and I was always impressed that she loved the background music playing most of the day.
