It’s December 9th 2023 and a few moments ago there was movement detected on the Ring camera positioned to view our home front door and driveway. The view from the camera is one of rain, lots of rain. The weather has been like that for weeks in our home region of the country. It was just a raindrop on the lens that triggered the detection. I just smiled.
My laptop sits on this table nicely positioned for my use. I’m sat under the welcome shade of a patio shelter outdoors. I’m not sheltering from rain though, that is rather more rare here. We’re in Lanzarote enjoying another two weeks at our favourite location.
I’m wearing shorts and a tee-shirt with sandal crocks on my feet and my trusty Fedora is keeping company with my sunglasses alongside me. This is my heaven on earth! Jane is in her heaven on earth place too. She is lay on a sunbed in the hot sun, and positioned next to the pool. She has everything she wants with her. A Kindle, her cigarettes and ashtray, sunglasses and a towel.
I swear one of her previous lives was as a lizard, a famous inhabitant of this island. When the sun comes out, Jane heads into it, creamed to the eyeballs and ready for her epic tanning session that would last until sunset, if she were allowed that freedom.
This year we will have spent ten weeks all together in Lanzarote. But if you didn’t already know, I can’t just rest and do nothing. I have to be busy doing something, such as flying my drone, taking photos, meditating, automatic writing, playing with my Tarot, and writing content such as this.
Every day in some fashion, I am working on myself and my connection with the spirit world. Yes, every day. I’ve had this routine since the Covid thing. I was forced to retire from my day job and was of an age we both decided was close enough to retirement to make that move.
Retirement means different things to different people. There are those that believe it’s akin to entering God’s waiting room. These people fear not having any routine, losing a social life, their work comrades, and often, a regular income to sustain them.
That’s not what retirement is for me. Honestly, I don’t even know why I use the phrase! My life is packed with stuff to do every day, and Jane would quickly add, stuff that needs doing too! I haven’t got time to do nothing! I often joke with God that I’m not ready to go home yet mate - too busy here. I do hope he listens!
This morning, when I opened the lid of this laptop, I got excited. I gathered all my stuff that I might need and proceeded to open a blank draft sheet for The Inspired Spirit. I had no idea what I was going to write about. I had no plan, other than I was going to write an article. For around a minute or so, I stared at the logo for The Inspired Spirit. And then I knew what I would write about today. It was all in the title.
I can’t believe I came up with that title, The Inspired Spirit. It is so bang on the nail in describing me and my new life these days. Every day in some small or large way, I am inspired in my work with the spirit world. I am constantly learning new things about myself and the connection. As Glyn Edwards once said, “The more you learn, the more you’ll find there is more to learn.”
Many other mediums put themselves out there in the public eye and present themselves as the complete article, so to speak. Internationally renowned, expert in this and that, medium to the celebrities, and available at a price. My portfolio would read, - Trevor, the psychic apprentice, flawed, incomplete and impressed by nobody!
For me, the spirit connection is just a directed thought away. Those unfortunate to have to work with me from the other side are constantly frustrated by me. I must surely annoy the hell out of them. But I know they are with me. I witness their miracles, almost daily. I understand that when they communicate with me, and for that matter all of us, it would be their last resort to have to use just words.
Words are limiting, restricted to specific meanings and often void of the wider sentiments. Instead, the spirit world use feelings, emotions, instincts, intuition, life experiences, and so many other ways to communicate with us. If they have to use words, they are obviously struggling to get through to us, and the fault lies with us only.
This year I have been the channel for many spectacular miracles of proof that life continues. I’ve been responsible for uniting many people with their loved ones in the spirit world with evidence that I still find staggering to believe. One of my more recent examples was when a man in the spirit world kept shouting at me, one single word.
I wanted to ignore it, until I realised it must be important. The word he shouted was ‘Amputee’ over and over again. Nothing more, just that one word. It was enough. When I said it to the recipient, he declared without hesitation that it was his father. He’d lost part of a leg from the knee down. What an incredible miracle of communication between the two worlds.
Over just the months of this year, I have witnessed tears of joy, excitement and happiness. I’ve witnessed scepticism wiped away as ‘gold nuggets’ of evidence have been received and forwarded through my hesitant lips. I’ve witnessed the undeniable proof that indeed, life continues after the earth one ends.
Am I anything special? Absolutely not, nor should it be thought of that way. I am just an inspired person with an inspired spirit, working with passion, belief and a knowing. I share these words today, not to impress or endorse myself - I could do without that nonsense. I do so in the belief that you too have the same driving force within you.
If you don’t recognise yourself in these words, then work on it. Make it become your reality. Become your own inspired spirit.
Now then, it is time to close this episode. The sun is blazing down on Jane and I need to get her some fluid. I will be shortly doing a meditation and sitting for some more automatic writing, a new message from my spirit team. I’ll then play with my cameras and drone perhaps, go for a walk, make dinner for us and breath in more of this fresh clean air. Thank you for supporting me during this year past.
FUNDING APPEAL
2 of 3
I would like to thank those that donated funds to Spirited Talk after the first appeal last week. Your money will go towards the ongoing costs that this project incurs every week.
A follower recently asked me how much I would need to raise to secure Spirited Talk for another year. The answer is, how long is a piece of string! The very minimum to cover the monthly cost of the podcast distribution for a year is around £95. There are other monthly subscription fees too that have to be paid for. Online graphic software costs £120, AI software costs £80+, online hosting fees cost around £150, and a few other essential subscription services needed for the production process. So I would be able to keep my work available for 12 months for a little under £1000.
But of course, those figures exclude me taking anything for my time and effort, , which I’ve never been in a position to do anyway.
Over 75% of my work is funded from my own pocket. I could stop of course, but I would rather not! So long as a few people continue to show their appreciation and feel they benefit from my words, I will carry on for as long as I can afford to.
If you would like to join that select few people that support me, consider subscribing now. For just £3.50 per month, you’ll gain access to the WFSIW publication, as well as knowing your fee will help support my work and thereby keeping it free for all.
If you wish to make a one-off donation, you can do so through the Spirited Talk Paypal account. You don’t need to have an account, and can use your credit or debit card at no cost to you.
Your comments and feedback are always good to read. I look forward to hearing from you.
